I know that all cities, especially big one's have food programs, both where you can go pick up food like a grocery store, as well as applying for food stamp program. The program here in Washington recently changed, and allows those making up to $40,000 a year to receive benefits. And they're not "stamps" anymore, they're like debit cards, so you don't feel like you are any "less than" or embarrassed, etc. Go on the website for San Fran county government, and do a search for assistance or food program. You will qualify, and I know that they have emergency qualification for those in your situation where you literally have not eaten. I hope that this may bring some relief and help some how.
